The Mississippi Valley Flood Control Association (MVFCA) works with the United States Congress, The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, The Mississippi River Commission (MRC) and the Local Interest to continue to provide Flood Control, Navigation, Channel Improvement and Investment Protection as needed for the Mississippi River and Tributaries (MR&T) Project.

Our philosophy
To work with the United States Congress, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi River Commission (MRC) and the Local Interests, as represented by Levee and Drainage Districts, Ports and Harbor Commissions, States, Counties, Parishes, Towns, Businesses, Individuals and all other entities in all or parts of 31 States comprising 41% of the Continental United States otherwise known as the Mississippi River Watershed to provide Flood Control, Navigation, Channel Improvement and Investment Protection as required in the Mississippi River and Tributaries (MR&T) Project.

Our commitment to results
The MVFCA strives to seek Congressional authorization of, and adequate annual appropriation for the early completion of all Flood Control, Navigation, Channel Improvement and Investment Protection projects within the MR&T watershed.

Our experience
The MVFCA has over 70 years of experience as THE Agency working to protect Millions of People from flooding in the Mississippi River Valley and in May 2011 passed the record flood in the Mississippi Rivers History.
